Bear Necessities
Attention ROFO Teachers, Staff & Parents:
As the 2006-2007 Bear Necessities Chairperson, I wanted to alert you about this wonderful program and encourage you to take advantage of its benefits for your students in need.
WHAT IS BEAR NECESSITIES?
The Bear Necessities Program, sponsored by
the PTA, provides standard school supplies which ROFO Teachers and Staff
request for any student in need. Only teachers and staff can make request.
Any student is eligible for the program. Since financial background is not
always the best indicator of need, we will not let this determine who can or
cannot be helped by Bear Necessities.
TO MAKE A REQUEST - ALLOW AT LEAST 24 HOURS.
Request forms are
located on the Volunteer Desk in the school office. Place your request in
the Bear Necessities box under the Volunteer table in the front office.
Requests can also be emailed to linnie145@cox.net if you prefer, or you may
call & leave a message at my home number at 467-4088. I will do my best to
fulfill your requests as quickly as possible, but be aware that some
requested items may require a bit of hunting down, particularly if they are
unique. I will return your requested items in your mailbox (or personally
deliver it - discreetly - if it is too big). BE SURE TO GIVE YOUR CONTACT
INFO, SO I KNOW HOW TO REACH YOU!
DONATIONS ARE WELCOME!
Our budget is limited & we want to honor as many
requests as possible. Therefore, I am also soliciting donations of surplus
school supplies from whomever would like to donate. You may leave the
donated items in the office next to the volunteer desk and just to be sure I
get your donation... give me a heads up with a note, phone call or email
that a donation has been made. Remember, Curriculum Enhancement is totally
different, so please forward those requests to PTA President Ann Stein.
